How To Play Blink Stop
Game Modes
CLASSIC MODE
Survive as long as possible without blinking. The longer you last, the more intense it gets with visual effects and faster audio!
PRECISION MODE
Choose a target time (5s, 10s, or 15s). Try to blink at the exact moment! Lower difference = better score.
ENDURANCE MODE
Try to last 30 seconds without blinking. Take a break if your eyes feel uncomfortable.
DAILY CHALLENGE
Every day presents a new modifier condition, such as inverted colors, faster anxiety heartbeats, or screen glitching. Survive as long as you can under extra pressure.
SURPRISE MODE
Opt into a 30-second round with one sudden illustrated face at an unpredictable moment. Sound starts off and can be enabled before the round. There are no flashing effects. Blink whenever you need to; Menu ends the round.
BONUS THEME DEMO
Preview a five-second placeholder between attempts, with the camera off. Completing it lets you apply an amber theme until reload; Skip leaves normal gameplay available. This prototype has no live advertising, advertiser requests, or ad revenue.
Tips for Success
- Stare at the center of the screen
- Keep your eyes comfortably open while calibration samples your open-eye baseline
- Good, even lighting on your face significantly helps with detection
- Sit 1-2 feet away from your camera and ensure it is at eye-level
Troubleshooting Camera Issues
Game won't start?
Allow camera access. Calibration progress follows clear eye readings rather than restarting every three seconds. Face a light and hold your phone at eye level with your eyes comfortably open. If tracking cannot get ready within 15 seconds, the app returns to the menu with help. If eye tracking stalls, use Restart camera. You can leave calibration at any time with Back to menu.
Face not detected?
Improve lighting, move closer to the camera, and remove heavy glasses if possible.
Camera being used by another app?
Close other apps (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.) and try again.
Challenge a friend
After a valid round, share a portrait card or challenge caption. Your friend pastes the code under Got a challenge? to play the same mode and target. Friend’s turn lets another player try on this phone. Precision compares timing error: lower is better. Other modes compare survival: higher is better, with a tie at the 30-second limit. Surprise timing varies and warns each player before starting. Daily has no friend code because modifiers depend on local date. Cards contain no camera photos; Save Selfie is a separate choice. Blink normally and take breaks.
